How different or similar Russians and Americans are?

To answer this question we need to look inside traditions, customs, components of daily routine and other aspects of life of both countries. And that is exactly what we were trying to do by filling in the table of differences. But not forgetting that we were discussing autostereotypes. That’s the main point. We should not cross a line of common sense.

I want to make this brief, but meaningful. So let’s look at the very differences of  our nations. The first example is that most of  Russians need someone to control their work unlike Americans.  This phenomenon takes its roots in many factors in Russia, for example, serfdom for centuries. Also, the totalitarianism in USSR. On the contrary, the population of America consists of many different people, most of whom are native Europeans, who always know what to do with their private property.

The next point,  which is strongly affected by the previous factors, is the feeling of freedom. There are  much less people in Russia who can act like fully free man. While talking to some authority most Russians speak with the feeling of fear. Unlike Americans who do not feel the distance between authorities and themselves.

One of the most noticeable dissimilarities between two countries is that in most cases Americans do not care what to wear as long as it is comfortable.  Russians , on the other hand, believe they should look good and fashionable all the time. Also, Russians are obsessed with wearing make up. They say a girl should wear make up every time she goes out. Despite that those are only visual features they can still represent people’s spirit as well.

At the end of this this laconic demonstration I want to write about one more otherness of our cultures. Every American feels free to talk to anyone in a public place. It is not experienced in Russia.

Of course, there are many distinctions between the USA and RF, but only these came to my mind firstly. Thanks for reading my analysis.
